Do you know your dog?

Here at Blue's Training Academy, we strive for each independent dog owner to gain a deeper understanding of their dog, as both a species and the breed(s) which make up his/her genetic code. We understand that dogs are instinct-driven, with each breed presenting with their own select traits and biological requirements/instincts, and we yearn to help others understand these complex codes. We respect dogs and we push them for excellence while maintaining boundaries and borders that exist between human and canine. 

We are a mixed training group, focusing on blending positive reinforcement training with consequence reinforcement training. We do not believe in using physical punishment, and we do not condone the use of a crate for punishment purposes; however, we do condone the proper use of a prong collar (if the dog in question displays the behavioral need for it), and we teach owners how to properly utilize training tools - with the goal of no longer needing the training tools as the primary focus.
